Located in San Jose, California. Established several years ago but coming out of hiatus, Sweet Pea Press publishes the literary magazine "My Kitchen Table: A Gathering Place for Writers".
I created Sweet Pea Press after no longer being able to find the kind of magazine I wanted, one with no ads and with a comfortable, familiar, "over the back fence" feel to it. So, I decided to try and come up with one myself. I thought about the writing groups that I had led that met at my house at my kitchen table and how much fun that was and I knew that is what I was looking for. So, "My Kitchen Table: A Gathering Place for Writers" was born. Two issues were published and then due to a series of unforeseen circumstances, it has been on an extended hiatus. I have relaunched and started it all back up again and have published a new issue and another one is almost ready to go to press.

I am currently accepting submissions of poems, photographs, cartoons, short short stories, etc. Will see what evolves from there! I have a few ideas! I am so excited! Thank you for coming on this journey with me!
